The Olympics have been in full
swing and the American cyclists once again performed well in the
Time trial race. (Not so well in the Road race) Between the 3 weeks of
the Tour and these 2 1/2
weeks of the Olympics, if you can’t find a sport you like, you must
be a winter sport junkie. At our
house, it has been sports overload time. My wife has all five channel
numbers memorized on Direct
TV; NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, USA and BRAVO ; all but Telemundo and we don’t
speak that channel.
This month is will also be
ride-your-bike-overload. With all the opportunities for organized
rides
for everyone to join in on, your mileage should be peaking. Especially
with our very own Misaligned
Minds ride on the 18th. I hope that everyone can make plans to do this
ride. If you cannot ride in it,
perhaps you can help out. If not by assisting with the sign-up, then
helping at a SAG station or making
some snacks. Please contact Hutch to show your support and let
him put your talents to work, if you’re
not talented he’ll still put you to work…so call him !
For those of you with e-mail, we
are working on the members e-mail list for ride notification and
updates.
Our goal is to have the e-mail list be as updated and accurate (as the
directory) for all the members.
So you need to do your part by providing the updated information and
keep CRCC in-the-
know. Several people have been working hard in trying to get the list
completed and I thank them.
We will have the list completed in the near future. Be patient.
Remember, this a list for the
e-mail members for primary ride updating. That doesn’t mean that it
cannot be forwarded to your friends that you are trying to get to ride
or join the club. So don’t think
that the list is exclusive. It is just a tool that we need to have to
promote the rides. We just want to
make it a manageable tool by knowing the status of those on the list.
Have you checked out the CRCC
website lately…it’s awesome baby…way to go Adam !! Feel free to
tell
him the next time you see him…hint…hint…
Did anyone do anything this summer on
their bike that is the least bit different than the scheduled
weekly rides? Come on…why don’t we have your articles for the Links? I
get tired (not really) of
reading the same stuff from Wilson, Marty, Martha and Hickey…how about
some new and interesting
stuff from our members!
Dream it, plan it, do it...
