The annual CRCC dinner (Tuesday, Nov. 9th) is only about a week away by the time you are reading this. You can Sign up at BileWorld or WoodNWave, but at least make sure that MARTHA knows so we can plan accordingly. Please encourage non-members and guests to come, as the meal will be worth the price even if the entertainment isn’t. You’ll see some changes in the Links in the months to follow, as we enter into our ‘winter’ season. As the time changes and weather becomes increasing dicey, riding on weekends alone will be a challenge. So the Ride Calendar and the Website Calendar will change some. Spinning class, which will start in December at BW, and the Mtb. Rides will be posted. The Roadie riders and MTB’rs will need to rely on the Rideline and e-mail for impromptu rides. The Links may change for a few months as we test a new format and try to provide more, good cycling articles, member’s articles, maybe some health and fitness information and things that will interest you...or just twice as much BS from the officers. It has been a learning year for me as a 1st time CRCC Pres. I have met a lot of new people, but still don’t know nearly enough of the members. There are faces I recognize, but still can’t put a name with them. Hopefully tat will change over the course as I intend on getting in more club mileage. I feel we have made some good changes and additions to the CRCC club over the past 11 months. The Board and several members have stepped up to improve the Club for all the members. I encourage you to do what you can to make this Club as good as it can be. The Club is what you make it and what you get out of it, is well, all up to you. We still have some goals to accomplish and new ideas to discuss, but I feel confident they will be completed over the coming winter months with your help and the new officers. I found a little something I wrote on the first Links article last December I thought would be fitting to repeat: "Come on people, get involved in your club, show up for a free meal, have a good time, meet some new people, let's try and have so many people at next years annual dinner that we are forced to move to a bigger location!? Well it is at a new location and I’m sure Tim wouldn’t mind pulling up a few more chairs to fill his House of Grace. Be there or be square! Dream it, plan it, do it...
